Anna Kelsey’s authentic-looking cafe set positions the action on an actual island, as the floor ends in a cliff edge flanked by a tiny beach, with lighting designer Daniella Beattie’s projections of lapping tides punctuating the scenes and Jamie Lu’s evocative maritime sounds completing the effect.

With the show being performed in-the-round in the New Vic Theatre's amphitheatre-esque auditorium this provided the feeling of each audience member becoming a part of the action in Angie's cafe, heightened by the incredible and realistic set design by Anna Kelsey.

As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with the beautiful set design of the cafe with  visual of the waves crashing onto the shore and sound of the rumbling sea.
